Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Announced

Nintendo during today’s Direct event has announced a new Pokémon journey is arriving to Nintendo Switch, called Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield this new generation will take players on a new adventure when it releases late this year.

Game Freak Director Shigeru Omori confirmed that our next journey will take place in the new Galar region, players will encounter new adventures and of course new Pokémon are waiting to be found.

In the announcement trailer we saw the starter Pokémon that will help us in our journey, players can pick from the fire rabbit Scorbunny, the plant chimp Grookey and water lizard Sobble.

Grookey is said to be mischievous and very curious, Sobble is very timid and can camouflage his body around its surroundings, and the fire rabbit Scornbunny is quite energetic and surely will be a nice mix between melee attacks and fire moves.

Game Director Shigeru Ohmori revealed some details about the new Galar Region, and talked about the personalities of the starter Pokémons, I’m interested to know how this personalities can be seen in game as it’s something that has its roots from the first generation of Pokémon RPGs.

This announcement got me really excited as I’m a huge Pokémon fan, I grew up with the anime and fell in love with the RPG adventure that let me train my beloved pets and grow them into the fiercest warriors on my way to challenge the Pokémon League. I’m thrilled to learn more about this new generation and how will this game feature online battles. Are you as excited as I am? Do you already know who will be your starter Pokémon? Tell me in the comment section below.
