PES 2021 Lost The Rights of AC Milan And FC Inter Milan

A very bad news fro PES 2021 enthusiasts, the football simulator will lose the two biggest clubs of the Italian Serie A, AC Milan and FC Inter Milan. PES 2021 has failed to secure the licensing rights of both teams and the two Milanese teams will not be featured in the next entry of the game.

Below is the official statement from Konami:

“Thank you for playing eFootball PES 2020 and your continued support. Our licensing contract with AC Milan/Inter Milan will not be renewed. The representation of the Club will not be affected in eFootball PES 2020.”

The two teams will likely to be replaced with teams with similar shirt design and players that emulate both team’s performance on the pitch. AC Milan and FC Inter Milan are still represented in eFootball PES 2020, Konami affirms that today’s announcement will not affect footballers purchased in ‘MyClub’.

Both team has been supporters of Konami for years, FIFA players often sees that the overall quality in the representation of the team’s starts are not accurate both in looks and performance. Konami thanked the teams for their support and claims to “continue to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new relationships”.

AC Milan is one of the best team in Europe since it’s establishment in 1899, winning seven Champions League is only behind Real Madrid in terms of success. FC Inter Milan has managed to win three Champions Leagues. Both teams were also dominant of Serie A, with each winning 18 scudettos.

Missing two giants of the sport in a title intended to be an esports is clearly a disappointment for Italian players and enthusiast of a league that is top 3 in Europe. Is expected for EA to secure the licesing rights of the teams of Lombardy.
