Outlast 2 Announced For Release On Fall 2016

Today, Red Barrels Games just announced Outlast 2; it serves as an indirect sequel to the first person survival horror game Outlast.

On October 28, 2015, Red Barrels Games Poster a picture on their Facebook of what appears to be pages of classified documents and across the pages the word “Tomorrow” can be read, the day after, they released a teaser of the game that can be seen below.

According to an interview by website Bloody Disgusting with Red Barrel’s co-founder Philippe Morin, he stated that they are aiming to develop the kind of game that the team themselves would be scared to play.

“No conflict is ever black and white. But once the dust has settled, the victors get to decide who was right and who was wrong. Who is good and who is evil. Human nature pushes us to extremes of violence and depravity, which we then justify by divine inspiration and a promise of paradise to come. Horror rises from desperation and blind faith. Outlast 2 will test your faith, pushing players to a place where going mad is the only sane thing to do.”
