Nintendo Suspends Repair Service Due to Coronavirus

The excellent repair service offered by Nintendo has been one of the big reasons of Nintendo’s worldwide success for decades, but unfortunately due to Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak, governments have forced companies to establish security and health protocols that don’t allow Nintendo to keep offering the service for the foreseeable future. For the moment, only the North America repair centers have been closed down, the Japanese giant has still not announced if Europe and Japan will also be affected by this, but it’s very likely that a confirmation will arrive soon.

Due to preventive measures put in place for the COVID-19 coronavirus, and in accordance with federal and local guidelines, our repair centers are closed until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Once repair services resume, we will work as quickly as possible to get you playing again.

Please note that, during this closure, products sent in for repair may be returned to you as undeliverable.

If our repair center has already received your product, it will remain there until repair services resume.

Nintendo of America has confirmed that their repair centers are closed due to federal laws and local guidelines “in place” due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus. Nintendo doesn’t share a definite answer of when the repair center will be operational again. For the moment Nintendo of America can only say that the official announcement will be updated when repair service resumes.

The impact of the COVID-19 Coronavirus has been massive to the world’s economy, a restricting social protocols has been established around the world, but the government of Japan has taken a different approach to face the pandemic disease, Japanese citizen are allowed to take the street, so it’s possible that Nintendo’s Repair Service Center will continue working at least on Japan.
