The presentation of the Nintendo NX could be next week and this announcement will give Nintendo a margin of five months before its last release date (March 2017) this could be to show the potential of the new console and also to announce important exclusive titles like The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario and Pokemon. Also according to investment banking firm Macquerie the price of the new console is between $300 and $350, in line with competing consoles, but along with the Nintendo marketing “Interact with your game on the go.” phrase seen on a poster, this feature could be the reason behind the price tag.
“According to investment banking firm Macquerie, as reported by Seeking Alpha, Nintendo will finally detail the NX sometime next week. Macquerie also expects the console to cost between $300 and $350, a price that will result in a major disappointment for volume sales, according to the firm.
While the $300 / $350 price point for the NX may just be speculation on Macquerie’s part, it seems like it may not be too far from the real one. Earlier this week, another rumor which has surfaced online thanks to a large Nintendo retail partner put the console’s price between $299 and $399.99 for a bundle option.
