Ninja Theory Announces Project: Mara

Ninja Theory is not only working on The Project Insight, as today Xbox Wire has announced that Project: Mara is also being produced at Ninja Theory’s HQ. This experimental title will explore new ways of storytelling.

The first details about Project: Mara tells that an upcoming game will be “real-world” and a grounded representation of mental terror. It will be based on lived experience accounts and in-depth research. The developer plans to recreate the horrors of the mind as accurately and realistically as possible.

Ninja Theory has been working closely with DR. Paul Fletcher, a Psychiatrist, and Professor of Health Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge. The collaboration of Doctor Fletcher leads Hellblade: Senuas’s Sacrifice to win multiple awards, including a Royal College of Psychiatrist award for the most accurate depiction of Psychosis in any media.

The collaboration between Dr. Paul Fletcher and Ninja Theory’s co-founder and Creative Director has continued, an ambitious R&D project called The Project Insight is being produced at the moment.

Ninja Theory in the trailer of the new Project: Mara seems also to be benefiting from the collaboration between science, game development, and the latest technology. The project will use photo-realistic graphics to deliver a perfect experience.
