New Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Trailer

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has received a new trailer that takes a look at the what happened after mechanically-augmented people lost control and attacked others, leading into the start of the game where a rift has formed between those with and those without augmentation.

A new law has been enacted called the ‘Human Restoration Act’, which creates what the game calls a “Mechanical Apartheid”, separating augment people from “naturals.”

Mankind Divided is due out August 23 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

“In 2027, mechanically-augmented people all over the world suffered from extreme psychotic delusions, lost control of themselves, and started attacking people. Millions died. Hundreds of thousands more were injured and maimed. In the wake of this global catastrophe, society has become divided by hatred, prejudice, and fear, with many countries now enacting harsh laws.”
