According to developer Player First Games’ co-founder Tony Huynh, the MultiVersus July beta will be permanent until the full game launches sometime this year and will essentially serve as the game’s soft launch. When asked by a fan on Twitter, “Hey @Tony_Huynh, I was just wondering if the #MultiVersus Open Beta lasted until the Ver. 1.0 release, or if it’s timed, like the Closed Alpha and Tech Tests before it?” to which he responded, “It’ll hopefully be permanent unless we find some really awful bugs.”
MultiVersus is an upcoming free-to-play fighting game that features popular characters from Warner Bros.’ multiple media franchises such as Batman, Wonder Woman, Scooby-Doo, and more. While the upcoming open beta doesn’t have a specific launch date, it will launch this month. MultiVersus is set to launch sometime in 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
