Monster Hunter Rise Character Creation System Teased

Capcom’s latest teaser trailer for Monster Hunter Rise reveals more information about how players will be able to customize the main character and it’s two buddies, Palamutes and Palicos.

Check the teaser trailer here:

The creation of the Palamute and Palico is basic and comprehensive, especially for Monster Hunter veterans, the menu shows how the player can customize the basic aspects of the looks of both animal races. From the color of the fur, the shape of the eyes, ears, and tails to the addition of clothes are showcased.

Certainly, the addition of Hue, Saturation, and Contrast values will add much more to the customization of the three main characters of the journey. It’s also evident that some aspect of the character creation is even more detailed, featuring more controls to the size of some of the underlying facial features.

Monster Hunter Rise was announced during the  Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase in September, surprisingly, Capcom also announced Monster Hunter Stories 2 – Wings of Ruin

The new game features a new buddy class, the Canyne, they will attack and help the player. Felyne buddies are a class who can heal and buff the player while in a fight, according to Capcom, the hunter can take two buddies on a quest.

Monster Hunter Rise is a brand new reimagination of the classic Monster Hunter experience, the game will take players on the role of saving the Kamura Village from the imminent “Rampage”.

According to Tsujimoto,  the Rise in the title refers to Capcom’s idea of players running up cliffs, maps are designed to be more vertical. Developers designed a new item called the Wirebug, the insects will allow the player to reach places that normally would be out of reach. Combining Wirebugs with attacks allows the hunter to have freedom in its movement. Players can make unique combos and have a much more fast-paced combat using the new item.

Monster Hunter Rise will be available on March 26, 2021
