Microsoft To Premiere Gears 5 Multiplayer During Eleague Event This June

Microsoft is determined to stick to their guns this year by giving fans more from the Gears of War universe with their anticipated upcoming title, Gears 5. While not much has been shown recently in terms of gameplay and other features for the new entry in the series, Microsoft has announced a new eSports series revolving around the franchise titled, Gears Summer Series: The Bond and Betrayals of Brotherhood.

Check out the reveal trailer below:

The debut of this new summer series starts this June, and with it, Microsoft will also provide and exclusive reveal of what Gears 5 is bringing to the table in terms of multiplayer. The event is said to be parted into six different episodes that take viewers into a behind the scenes look at six well-known pro eSports players.

“Over the six episodes, the series will explore each player’s intense connection to the game as they navigate the transition between Gears of War 4 and Gears 5, balancing the untapped potential of new opportunities with the fallout from past decisions.” – Microsoft

But what’s even more exciting about the new mini-series is that on its debut on June 14, 2019, viewers will also receive the world premiere of Gears 5 multiplayer. Of course, just days before the debut on TBS, Microsoft will hold its own presser at the annual E3 event, so we’re sure to get a good look at the game’s campaign mode and other features during that same week, as well.

Gears 5 is set to release sometime this year for the Xbox One and PC.
