Devolver Digital Teases Metal Wolf Chaos Development

Devolver Digital is teasing a potential release, remaster or even a sequel of its mecha third-person shooter Metal Wolf Chaos, which was launched for the Xbox exclusive for the Japanese market in 2004 and was never released in English.

Metal Wolf Chaos is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by FromSoftware, released for the Xbox in Japan on December 22, 2004.

The game revolves around a fictional President of the United States named Michael Wilson. Using a suit of powered armor named Metal Wolf, he battles forces who have taken over his country in a coup d’état, including his nemesis, Vice President Richard Hawk.

The publisher posted the following image on Twitter:

Back in January 2016, Devolver Digital  tweeted about localizing the title to From Software.

Devolver Digital will host an E3 2018 press conference on June 10 at 8:00 p.m. PT / 11:00 p.m. ET.

“FromSoftware released Metal Wolf Chaos on Xbox in 2004. The game lets players control Michael Wilson, the 47th President of the United States, who is the subject of a coup d’etat led by his power-hungry Vice President, Richard Hawk. Wilson travels cross-country in a mech suit named the Metal Wolf to liberate the U.S. from Hawk’s reign of terror. The absurd, satirical action game culminates in a fight in space between the two politicians.
