It was announced by Capcom today, that the blue bomber will be coming again in a new game called Mega Man 11 for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

This will be the first proper new Mega Man game since the retro-styled Mega Man 10, which came out in 2010. The game will not recreate the 8-bit style of the older Mega Mans (and the subsequent sequels Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10), but rather Capcom is going with 3D sprites on a 2D plane, like some of the recent 2.5D platformers.
Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 and 2 will also be coming to Switch soon, Capcom said, alongside the Mega Man X collection that was announced today.
Capcom also said that Mega Man 11 will be released in “late 2018,” in time for the Blue Bomber’s 30th anniversary.
Working on the title are producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya and director Koji Oda, both veterans of Capcom and the Mega Man series. The pair talked about their goals for the new Mega Man, referring to the game as something of a rebirth for the character. The game’s art director and character designer, Yuji Ishihara, created a new look for Mega Man, which “leaked” earlier this year on the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 release.
