Marvel’s Avengers game is set for a September 4 release on current-gen consoles, and it will be available for next-gen consoles as well at launch. Those who purchase a current-gen copy of the game will be eligible for a free upgrade to a next-gen version between PS4 and PS5 and Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Other games to promise such upgrades include Destiny 2 and Cyberpunk 2077.

The game is now available for pre-purchase on PC and current-gen consoles. It comes in several different editions, including standard, deluxe, and a collector’s edition.

The collector’s edition, called “Earth’s Mightiest Edition” will come with a steelbook case for the disc, a 12 inch statue of Captain America, a Hulk bobblehead, a Mjolnir keychain, an Avengers pin, a Black Widow belt buckle, an Avengers group photo, and blueprints of Iron Man’s armor. The collector’s edition is $199 on BestBuy and Amazon. It is only available for console versions of the game.

The deluxe edition includes an obsidian themed costumes pack for six members of the Avengers: Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, and Ms. Marvel. This edition is available for $79.99 on BestBuy, Amazon, and Steam.

The standard edition is priced at $59.99 and does not include any bonus content. However, preordering any of the editions will reward a legacy outfit pack for the Avengers, including Captain America in WW2 gear, and Iron Man in his first suit.

Anybody who pre-orders any of the editions will also be guaranteed participation in the beta and an exclusive nameplate.

The game is being developed and published by Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics. The game is available as a single player experience or online co-op. Players can look forward to being able to customise each hero to their own playstyle.
