After working on Tomb Raider trilogy for more than five years, now Crystal Dynamics is developing Marvel’s Avengers in collaboration with Eidos Montreal. The project was officially revealed at E3 2019 but it doesn’t receive friendly feedback from the fans since its announcement trailer shared at the event. Most part of the community were aiming character design as an obvious weakness of the game which doesn’t fit into comics at all. Anyway, the developer made it clear at the time that there won’t be a full change on characters until next year, but the details will absolutely improve till May 2020. Now, a new brief trailer of the game introduces Captain America as one of the main members of the Avengers team.
Just a few days after uploading the official gameplay footage for Marvel’s Avengers, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics revealed a new brief trailer which showcases some details about Captain America and his origin, gives us a glimpse on his official outfit in the game and finally let us see some of his abilities and melee combat moves against enemies. Here you can check the trailer out:
We will definitely get the same type of trailer for Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man and Hulk in the near future as well. However, we are still hoping to see and know more about the game’s campaign story and main antagonist in the upcoming trailer. The first gameplay footage of Marvel’s Avengers represented Taskmaster as the main antagonist of the game who caused a big disaster on A-Day, but we still need to know more about the path of our beloved superheroes in their long and dangerous journey for justice and humanity.
Marvel’s Avengers will be available on May 15, 2020. Stadia will be a target platform for the game as well as PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
