Mario, Rabbid Peach, and friends are back with a new adventure in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope! The announcement came in near towards the end of the Ubisoft stream today, delighting many fans with a tentative release date for 2022.
The sequel to the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle promises to take players on a journey to save the universe! The cinematic trailer featured Mario, Rabbids, and newer friends – the Sparks. The group is faced with a threat and leaps into action to take down the big baddie.
The game’s genre is strategy and developers have mentioned that this game pushes the boundaries of tactical gameplay more so than predecessors. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch. We got a very short glimpse at some of the gameplay on the stream and can’t wait to see more about it soon.
Although the trailer and official announcement came today, Nintendo previously posted details of the game on their website last night. The page has since been pulled down. The details that they noted yesterday on the website include the following:

Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy.
Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle.
Unleash your heroes’ skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.
