King of Fighters XIV – Four new Characters to be released in April!

SNK CORPORATION is proud to announce today the release of four new paid DLC characters in April 2018 for The King of Fighters XIV.

Oswald returns to the KOF Series as the first of four new DLC characters to be released this April. Since his first appearance in KOF XI, Oswald has become one of the most popular and requested KOF characters thanks to his unique fighting style and personality. Stay tuned for more news about the three other new participants in the coming weeks!

KOF XIV, the latest entry in SNK’s legendary versus fighting game series released in August 2016 and featuring a massive roster of over 50 combatants, will welcome four new DLC characters this April for a total of 58 fighters ready to clash! KOF XIV keeps evolving in 2018!

Oswald is an old and very composed gentleman, and a former hitman very well-known in the underworld society. He has mastered the Karnoffel assassination art, and uses playing cards to slice and dice his opponents. As a veteran poker player, he never shows his hand.

The King of Fighters XIV was first released worldwide in August 2016 with a base roster of 50 characters. It then had the first DLC batch that added four new playable characters: Whip, Vanessa, Ryuji Yamazaki, and Rock Howard in April 2017. Oswald is the first character to be revealed in the new second DLC batch that will add four more new characters and released in April 2018. If we include both DLC batches, The King of Fighters XIV will have a new total of 58 playable characters.

Oswald made his first debut in the eleventh game The King of Fighters XI but has not made a return as a playable character until this announcement, although he had briefly appeared in The King of Fighters XIII as a cameo in another character’s ending.
