Katana ZERO Reached 100K Units Sale in First Week

Indie games could somehow be called as innovation factory of the industry. So many creative ideas that you may saw in video games, has been introduced to the industry by the hands of indie games, and in the wake of such a great devotion, it’s always heart-warming to see new indie titles has been born and received well by the players. After 2018’s Dead Cells and Celeste, this year also seems to contain more of these titles with the successful release of Katana ZERO during last week.

Katana ZERO is a 2D action platformer title that represents a fast-paced action-packed gameplay with an engaging and complicated story that blows your mind. Despite the game’s critically acclaimed quality, it has also done great in terms of sales as the studio announced recently that Katana ZERO has sold more than 100,000 units in its first week of launch on PC and Switch. However, it wasn’t so much of a surprise, as the game has broken the record for pre-orders on Switch for a game publishing by Devolver Digital. Furthermore, Katana ZERO is also the second fast-selling game among Devolver Digital’s publishments on Switch so far.

Along with announcing the number of sales, the developer also confirmed the upcoming free DLC for Katana ZERO and a Speedrun mode for the game that will challenge your skills in a fast-paced action gameplay. The game is now available for PC and Nintendo Switch.
