Horizon Zero Dawn Coming To PC This August

Guerilla Games confirmed today that Horizon: Zero Dawn will be coming to PC this August. The port was rumored for a while and is now finally confirmed. The game will be available on the Epic Games Store as well as Steam on August 7. The PC port will support ultra-wide resolutions as well as unlocked frame-rate. Fans of Horizon can now enjoy the game at 120 FPS.

Reports say that the port will also feature new and improved graphics, dynamic foliage, and improved reflections. Head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios (and ex-managing director of Guerilla Games) stated:

“I think it’s important that we stay open to new ideas of how to introduce more people to PlayStation, and show people maybe what they’ve been missing out on.

“And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC. In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date [PC releases], and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.

The version coming to PC will be the complete edition, and it will include the Frozen Wilds Expansion. The game is currently priced at $50. This edition will also come with the Carja Storm Ranger Outfit and Carja Mighty Bow, Carja Trader Pack, Banuk Trailblazer Outfit and Banuk Culling Bow, Banuk Traveller Pack, Nora Keeper Pack, and a digital artbook.

Guerilla is also currently working on the second Horizon title, Horizon: Forbidden West, which was revealed at PlayStation 5’s Future of Gaming event. The release date for this game has yet to be revealed, but so far the game has been confirmed to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Fans can experience the new port while they look forward to the sequel.
