Sony and developer Guerrilla Games have announced that Horizon Forbidden West sales have surpassed 8.4 million units, and the Horizon Zero game franchise has surpassed 32.7 million units. The publisher stated that “millions more around the world have discovered Horizon thanks to PlayStation’s subscription services and initiatives, including PlayStation Plus, and Play at Home.” Guerrilla Games studio director and studio art and animation director Jan-Bart van Beek also stated that another game will be coming and that “Aloy’s adventures will continue.”
“Last of all, I’d like to share that we are so excited that Aloy’s adventures will continue. Her latest mission takes her to the ruins of Los Angeles in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, and we can’t wait for you to find out where she’ll go next.” Additionally, a 20th anniversary video for Guerrilla Games was also released.
