IO Interactive has announced that Hitman World of Assassination will receive cross-platform progression through its new IOI account system. Players will be able to access and manage their accounts via browser and mobile, with the cross-progression feature launching on February 3. With cross-progression enabled, players can carry over data such as player level, challenges, campaign progression, Freelancer mode progression, achievements, and inventory data across multiple platforms. To use the feature, players must link their platforms to an IOI account and select a primary profile. Game licenses, DLC licenses, and DLC-based unlocks will not transfer, and old save files created on non-primary linked accounts will not be accessible while cross-progression is active. Players can disable cross-progression at any time to use older saves from non-primary accounts. HITMAN World of Assassination is available now for PlayStation 5 with PlayStation VR2 support, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch via cloud streaming, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and iOS.
