Guild Esports Will Turn Players Into Professionals

Today, the London-based Guild Esports has been officially founded, and its activities will begin soon. The academy is Co-Founded by former professional football player David Beckham, this project will, coach  and lead players to the road of a professional esports athlete. Carleton Curtis has been hired as the Chairman of Guild, he will add its experience working at Activision Blizzard and Red Bull to the new project.

Guild Esports will be a business that will have its academy style progression, players will be scouted and molded and will be taught how to professionals. The Guild is hoping to have their inaugural team playing by the autumn and will initially compete in games such as Rocket League, FIFA and Fortnite.

Speaking about the launch of Guild Esports, David Beckham said:

Certainly, the esports has been growing significantly in the last years, David Beckham is a renowned business man, the sponsors and the marketing that he will bring to the esports will allow the new industry to take the leap in revenue all developers and publishers are dreaming on. The implications on game development and streaming revenue are unimaginable, surely, a great day for all aficionado.
