Grand Theft Auto 6 Pre-order Date Seemingly Leaked

According to leaked Best Buy emails sent to affiliates, corroborated by Insider Gaming, Grand Theft Auto 6 pre-orders are expected to go live next week, starting May 18. If confirmed, this would suggest that another delay is unlikely. The emails were likely received by users with an Impact account who had signed up for affiliate offers. The news has also sparked fan speculation that the third trailer for the game may be released alongside the pre-order announcement. It has been over a year since Rockstar last revealed additional details or footage for the title.

In its Q3 earnings results, Take-Two Interactive Software confirmed that marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 will begin this summer. This suggests the game remains on track for its November 19 release date, though it does not guarantee it. “Our execution throughout fiscal 2026 has been extraordinary and we are highly confident as we approach fiscal 2027—which promises to be groundbreaking for Take-Two and the entire entertainment industry—led by the November 19 release of Grand Theft Auto VI with Rockstar’s launch marketing set to begin this summer,” Take-Two Interactive Software said in a press release sent to IGN. In the same IGN report, Take-Two Interactive Software CEO Strauss Zelnick said he felt “very good” about the game’s planned release and denied rumors of a delay to the physical edition.

According to public records indexed by the UK company registrar Companies House, Rockstar North, referred to as Rockstar Games UK Limited, has spent £1.6 billion (approximately $2.11 billion) to date on the development of Grand Theft Auto 6. However, Companies House noted that it does not have “the statutory power or capability to verify the accuracy of the information that companies send.” It also stated that “the fact that the information has been placed on the public record should not be taken to indicate that Companies House has verified or validated it in any way.”

Additionally, as spotted by a Reddit user, the listed address corresponds with the company’s filings. The costs appear to include employee salaries and wages dating back to March 2019. As of March 31, 2025, the average number of monthly employees had risen to 1,744, up from 1,658 a year earlier.
