(I Fell in Love With) The Majesty of Colors Feb. 28

Future Proof Games will be releasing “The Majesty of Colors” for desktop and mobile on February 28, 2018, bringing the classic tale of love, loss, and balloons to a modern audience.

You might fondly remember “The Majesty of Colors” as Gregory Avery-Weir’s Flash game about an undersea creature who discovers the colors of the surface and plays with balloons. We’ve remastered the original game from scratch for modern devices. With its new visual effects, sound, and interface enhancements but the same evocative pixel art, we’re proud to let a new generation of folks play our award-winning game.

A single mouse button or touch makes the creature’s tentacle grab and toss balloons, fish, people… and sharks. In each short playthrough, players make choices along a branching path that leads to multiple endings. In some, they might befriend and try to protect the humans; in others, they’ll (wittingly or unwittingly) make enemies of the humans and fight to survive.

“The Majesty of Colors” will be available for iOS and Android as well as Windows, OSX, and Linux on Steam and itch.io.

Story

Last night I had a dream.

I floated in darkness, immense, squamous. My mind flowed like my body, slowly and sinuously, tremendous wheels both too slow and too fast for me to describe to you now.

I was perfect, and titanic, and serene. But then, as I moved through the cold abyss, I saw a light. And as I came near, I saw something… wonderful.
