According to SteamDB, Forza Horizon 6 has surpassed 172,000 peak concurrent players. This is notably more than double Forza Horizon 5’s peak of 81,096 lifetime concurrent players, which previously stood as the series’ highest player count, making it the most-played entry in the franchise so far. It is also worth noting that the game is currently only in advanced access for Premium Edition owners, with the full launch set for May 19. Player numbers are expected to rise significantly further once the game becomes available to everyone, especially since Game Pass subscribers will also have access to it. The game is also one of the highest-rated releases of the year and currently holds the highest Metacritic score of 2026 with a 92 Metascore.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the game leaked online days before its release. According to several forums and cracking communities, Playground Games allegedly uploaded a fully unencrypted repository of the game’s files to Steam. This reportedly gave some players full access to the game days ahead of its scheduled launch. As a result, several users have shared images and videos of the game online, while others claim it is now accessible through various piracy websites. Forza Horizon 6 will launch on May 19 for PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. It will then launch sometime in 2026 for PlayStation 5. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
