Report: Fortnite coming to Nintendo Switch

The popular Battle Royale game by Epic Games, Fortnite, could be coming to the Nintendo Switch console soon. This morning on 4chan was leaked a list of Nintendo Switch games that will be on this years’ E3, alongside a Korean game rating for Fortnite on Switch. Eurogamer reports that the leaked E3 Nintendo games list is accurate, and to “expect an announcement soon.”

Check out the leaked image that is on 4chan:

It is worth noting that the leaked image looks like it might be an order for a print shop, also said image shows a few other unannounced Nintendo Switch games, like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Killer Queen Black, Paladins and Overcooked 2.

Currently, Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the gaming industry. The game got more popularity than other Battle Royale Games, like its rival PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, in terms of monthly players and revenue, making Fortnite the biggest free-to-play console game ever, according to market research company SuperData. Fortnite fans spent an estimated $223 million on the game across all platforms in March alone, up 73% from February.

In March, Epic Games president Tim Sweeney said that a majority of the company’s 700 developers were working on the game. Earlier this year, PUBG. Corp., maker of Fortnite’s Battle Royale rival “PUBG” filed a copyright lawsuit against Epic Games in South Korea.

Polygon said in an article on their website:

“That image would be thin evidence, but a Switch version of Fortnite was also spotted in a much more interesting place.

“Last week, the Korean ratings Board rated Sunset Overdrive for PC, revealing the port’s existence,” Kotaku reported. “Yesterday, it rated a Borderlands: Game of the Year Editionrelease for modern consoles, and today we’ve found a rating for Fortnite on Switch, a game which has been rumored to be in development for as long as hyped up fans of both have been around to get optimistic about.”

Fortnite is already live on the Mac, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One and iOS devices, with the Android launch coming this summer. A release on Nintendo Switch seems inevitable, and the timing of this announcement makes a lot of sense.”
