Final Fantasy VII Remake Event was Held in Tokyo

A few days ago, Square Enix hosted a Final Fantasy VII Remake event at a popular retail chain store called Animate, which is in Tokyo, Japan. During the event, the store sold tons of merchandise based on the upcoming game.

The most notable things for shoppers to see while they were there were life-size versions of Cloud’s buster sword and Hardy-Daytona bike. YouTube user, Giuseppe’s Gaming – Twinfinite, was able to get a video showing off the two models in person. There also a bunch of pictures in the article posted on his website.

The hype for this remake is real. The original Final Fantasy VII game is one of the greatest games made for the first PlayStation, and now with the complete reimagining of such an iconic game coming to the PS4, Square Enix is doing everything they can to keep the hype train going.

As mentioned though, the game is only coming to the PS4. While it hasn’t been confirmed to be a PS4 exclusive, the developers have said that they have no plans on making it available on other consoles. Even though this makes sense because of the fact the original was a PlayStation exclusive, recent Final Fantasy games have released on multiple consoles, so fans on Xbox will either have to wait or buy a PS4 to play the new game.

Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot of controversy surrounding this remake. Other recent remakes, like Resident Evil 2, have done very well, so it’s expected that Final Fantasy VII will do the same, despite that fact that it is only releasing on one console. Fans of the series will have to wait until its release on March 3, 2020, to find out though.
