Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Date Announced

Square Enix have officially announced their date for Final Fantasy’s 30th Anniversary. The event will happen on January 31st, 2017. This is very exciting news and we’re looking forward to see what Square Enix have up their sleeve for the future years of the franchise. This is a huge deal for the fans of the series . It’s worth mentioning that it’s also the 20th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII and this is the place where we probably will get new information and details in regards to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Here is the translated version of the Japanese text from the Square Enix website that details the events.

“The first work was released on December 18, 1987, the “Final Fantasy” series celebrating the 30th anniversary in 2017.

An event that tells the beginning of the anniversary year, on January 31, 2017 (Tuesday)
was decided to be held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills!

In the “Final Fantasy birth 30 anniversary Opening Ceremony”, and talk event by luxury guest,
and show off in front of one end of the project, which is planned to commemorate the 30th anniversary.
Event contents and guest information etc. are scheduled to be updated from time to time.
