Fallout 76: Wastelanders and Nuclear Winter Announced

Bethesda announced a new Wastelanders update for Fallout 76 and it adds something that most people would conider to be both a highly anticipated and well overdue update. In the new Wastelanders update, it has the addition of NPC’s and not only that, full dialogue trees, new quests, and new factions.

That’s right, after the current events of Fallout 76, wastelanders from all over will come back to inhabit Appalachia to make it their new home for better or worse. Not only are they simply added, they seem to be the full Fallout NPC experience that’s been around since forever. Talk to the wastelanders with a full dialogue system that goes back to the Fallout 3 or New Vegas ways and possibly affect the events in the main questline.

Of course the new wastelanders will fight and work with you throughout the quest, maybe they’ll inhabit some previously-empty areas but not much information is known except that it will add some new and horrible creatures, hopefully some dog companions as well.

Wastelanders is to come this Fall so you’ll be able to check it out then. In the meantime, a Free Trial that’s available for everyone starting June 10-17 includes the sneak peak for the new Nuclear Winter update.

In Nuclear Winter, a new gamemode gets added after entering the new Vault 51. In order to become the overseer you must fight off 52 other players who also wish to do the same. Fight in an upcoming storm where, all creatures, Nukes, and building will be available in this team battle-royale.

The update’s sneak peak now from June 10-17 during Fallout 76’s free trial. The gamemode is set to release sometime in 2019 and hopefully more information will be available soon.
