Fallout 76: Brotherhood Of Steel Faction Is Coming to Appalachia

Fallout 76 has announced the Brotherhood of Steel are coming to Appalachia in the Steel Dawn update, arriving December 1, 2020.

Steel Dawn’s biggest addition is the Brotherhood of Steel faction, an order founded on the principles of finding technology and locking it away so mankind can move towards true peace. Though they tout these altruistic ideals, the way they go about it is not so saint-like.

With the Brotherhood of Steel joining the roster, there are now nine factions the player can receive quests from and, in some cases, join. Some of the Appalachian factions are centered around the area they originate from, like the Responders being made from the local volunteer fire department and the Free States being founded by a local politician, so it’s nice to see old favorites join the Enclave and Raiders.

Fallout 76 has been ramping up to this event for the past couple months. Patch 20 released on June 30th of this year, announcing creating public teams to join or create, updates to how rewards work in daily and weekly challenges, changes to Team PvP, and a load of bug fixes.

This update stays in line with the progressive improvements the developers have been making to the game since launch. Bethesda has been hard at work with this game, steadily pushing out updates that have addressed perceived issues the community has had with Fallout 76.

Earlier this Spring, Bethesda released the Wastelanders update, adding 12 hours of story campaign revolving around two warring factions, The Settlers and The Raiders. Both factions came with human NPCs, a feature the community had been asking for.

Not much is known about what is to come after Fallout 76: Steel Dawn, but the ramp up to this update, releasing December 1st, is another step in the right direction.
