EVE: Valkyrie’s New ‘Gatecrash’ Update Available Now

Today, CCP Games launches the Gatecrash update for EVE: Valkyrie, the virtual reality space combat shooter set in the universe of EVE – on HTC VIVE, PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift. Gatecrash is the third major free update for EVE: Valkyrie and introduces new gameplay features, a pilot customisation system and the multiplayer Gateway map with its stunning icy visuals, located around an unfinished warp gate in the Outer Rim. The Gatecrash update also brings support for PS4 Pro, enabling enhanced visuals and improved performance.

Central to the EVE: Valkyrie Gatecrash update is the exciting new multiplayer map, Gateway, which offers incredible variety and beautiful visuals, such as ice asteroids and a unique, structure-based layout. Gateway provides unique gameplay compared to other maps as pilots are catapulted from one end of the map to the other by warp points.

“This update also includes a feature that we’re been itching to deliver at some point this year: Pilot Customization. It’s the ultimate expression tool for any pilot or squad looking to stand out from the crowd in the clone vats, results screens and cockpits. There are a huge range of flight suits and helmets in a range of colours and styles. You are now a clone in DNA only. With over 2000 possible combinations you can create a look that matches your style and strikes fear into the hearts of your opponents.

We’ve also crammed in a ton of gameplay balancing tweaks (see CCP Groot’s post below), bug fixes and polished up many more features for usability.”
