During the recent Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event Bandai Namco revealed the third and final DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot called Trunks: The Warrior of Hope.

Scheduled to release early summer 2021, players will discover the painful story of a world without Goku and the struggles of future Trunks in a world dominated by Android 18 and Android 17.

Check the announcement trailer down below:

Goku has died. He had stood tall against the deadliest of foes, but the mighty warrior was no match for the virus in his heart. Though those close to Goku were overcome with sadness, they continued to lead peaceful lives for some time.

However, half a year later, two monstrosities appeared on an island to the south. Earth’s defenders met them head-on, but they stood no chance. Piccolo was the first to fall, then Vegeta, Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin all lost their lives.

The two androids plunged the world into a state of constant fear and chaos… It is here, 13 years later, that our story begins. A story about a world without Goku…

Bandai Namco also announced Gogeta Super Saiyan 4 for FighterZ Pass 3, the special character will be added to the game on March 12, with early access on March 10 for FighterZ Passes 3’s owners.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot takes players back to the original story of the Dragon Ball Z anime. The game goes beyond the epic battles and allows fans to experience life in the Dragon Ball universe as you fight, fish, eat, and train with Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and warrior Z protagonists. Explore the new areas and adventures as you advance through the story and form powerful bonds with other heroes from the Dragon Ball Z universe.
