Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Coming on June 29

During today’s New Game+ Expo publisher showcase, Nippon Ichi Software President, Sohei Niikawa revealed the launch date for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny on North America and Europe. The game will be released on June 29 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

Niikawa also mentioned that pre-order customers will receive Girl Laharl, Asagi, Adell, and Rozalin as bonus characters.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny features the most insane tactical combat ever seen in the whole franchise, Nippon Ichi Software developed unique gameplay elements that will allow players to craft a memorable journey through the Netherworld.

The game is also more suited for beginners, the game can be customizable with Auto, Retry, and Replay settings, significantly changing the difficulty. If the level is just too hard, players can use Zed’s special skill of Super Reincarnation and rejoin the fight until the level is completed.

Zed is a boastful zombie who wallows on the lowest rung on the Netheworld ladder alongside his sister Bieko. When a God of Destruction threatens their way of (un)life, Zed must harness his unique ability of Super Reincarnation to stand against the approaching menace.

Along the way, he will unite with twisted and colorful denizens of the Netherworld, face challenges around and within, and see if even an undying hooligan like himself can defy the odds.

Nippon Ichi Software also announced the Unrelenting Edition of the game for Nintendo Switch, the special edition includes Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny for Nintendo Switch, “Defiance of Dissonance” Soundtrack Digital Download, “Behind the Seam” Mini Art Book, and Reversible Coversheet.

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny is now available in Japan on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
