Just a few weeks ago, 1C Entertainment confirmed Devil’s Hunt for Switch with a new trailer containing both story elements and gameplay footage. Fortunately, before it’s going to be launched next month, we had the chance to check out a new gameplay footage of the game at Gamescom 2019, which represents 11 minutes of uncut gameplay, featuring a boss fight at the end.
In Devil’s Hunt, it’s up to the player to be a hero for the humanity side or a new god for demons. You, as Desmond, have the power to form the future of the world in the way you like. You could be the deadly fist of humans against demons or the final piece of fire that’s needed to destroy the world.
Aside from a story-driven experience, Devil’s Hunt offers melee combats in gameplay without any specific weapon in hand. This actually means you have to get closer to the enemies if you want to damage them, and when it comes to bosses, this is a big deal to get closer, hit and go back to your safe position.
Devil’s Hunt looks promising in the new footage, though some animations need to be smoother yet. Lighting and textures seems to be at their final stage and the combat system offers multiple options to use against the enemies, each one with its own percentage of damage. There is also a kill-cam system that allows you to watch your skilled kills in a cinematic view.
Devil’s Hunt is set to be released on September 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
