Devil May Cry 5 Ended First Week of Release on Top of UK Sales Chart

Devil May Cry 5 finally released on Friday last week and aside from critical acclamation that it received, by topping this week’s UK Sales Chart, it also did a pretty good job in term of sales.

Devil May Cry 5 sold 20,872 units, which is more than first week sales of previous title of the franchise, DmC: Devil May Cry. Capcom’s latest release managed to wipe out Anthem from the top through it’s way to the 1st place. By the way, It’s important to see how will be the performance of the game during next two weeks by arriving of competitors such as The Division 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

In a look at other titles’ performance this week, Anthem fell down into the 4th place after being for two weeks at the top of the chart. At the same time, Red Dead Redemption 2 reached 2nd place and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe rose to the 3rd place. FIFA 19 also lost it’s second best-selling rank during this week and flopped to the 5th place. Far Cry: New Dawn, The Lego Movie 2 Videogame and Metro Exodus saw different percentage of reduction in sales but still remained on top 10. On the other hand, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Grand Theft Auto V put one step forward to be among the best-sellers.
