Devil May Cry 5 Director Pointed Out His Next Project

After 2008’s Devil May Cry 4, fans were waiting for a true sequel for the ongoing story of their white haired heroes, Dante and Nero. Aside from how good or bad was Ninja Theory’s DmC: Devil May Cry, Hideaki Itsuno finally came back to the studio once again to give the players their long-awaited sequel, in a way that meets their expectations from a title that is going to comeback to the origins of the franchise. Itsuno did what he wanted to be done and now the Japanese director is looking forward, maybe to his next project, which he teased recently on Twitter.

Hideaki Itsuno shared a picture of him, along with other members of the development team, but he genuinely divided the people in the image into two groups, people who had worked on Devil May Cry 5 and people who are working on the new project. So, now we know that there is a “new project” for Itsuno and part of his team, but what could it be? Well, Itsuno has directed a lot of games so far and that makes it tough to guess what he is planning to develop, but there are two options that seem more interesting than the others.

First is a story-driven DLC for Devil May Cry 5, which couldn’t be impossible thanks to the eye-catching sales of the game as of it’s release. Second option, which seems even more exciting, is planning a sequel for Dragon’s Dogma. The action RPG game that became available back in 2012 and absolutely have the capabilities to receive a second title, based on it’s praised combat style and expansive world. If none of the above turn out to be true, then a new IP from this creative game developer will be welcomed too.
