Destiny 2 Season Of The Splicer Unveiled

Bungie has just unveiled Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer with a new trailer. Launching next week, the new content will feature a new story where Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light will be the Guardian’s main ally against the Vex.

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer refers to the term “splicers,” a word used for Fallen scientists who are working with Mithra against the Vex’s threat of bringing the darkness to the Last City and possibly all of the Earth. It’s up to the Guardians to work with Mithrax to learn “the ways of a Sacred Splicer” and use it to take down the simulation and restore sunlight.”

Check the reveal trailer down below:

The Vex have plunged the Last City into an endless night, threatening the safety once found beneath the watchful presence of the Traveler. It is here, bathed in perpetual moonlight, that Ikora reveals the identity of an unlikely ally that may hold the keys to triumphing over this attack.

Mithrax, Kell of the House of Light, leads a small group of Eliksni who wish to be closer to the Traveler. As a Sacred Splicer, he possesses the knowledge needed to combat the Vex technology that ensnares the Last City. There is a bond of Light shared here… will it be enough?

Season of the Splicer will also see the return of the Vault of Glass raid, the content will be available for free on all supported platforms.

Stored away, deep in the Vault of Glass on Venus is Atheon, Time’s Conflux. No one knows what this Vex is. Guardians must access the Vault, navigate the fractures in space and time, and terminate Atheon before it can become an unstoppable threat.

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer will launch on May 11 and will last until August 24.
