Crysis Remastered Trailer Set For July Premiere

Crytek announced that fans of Crysis can look forward to the Crysis Remastered trailer, which is set to be released on July 1 at 5pm GMT. The trailer will show off gameplay from the game, and likely details like release date. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch. The trailer is set for release on Youtube and comes with this description:

“The classic first person shooter from Crytek is back with the action-packed gameplay, sandbox world, and thrilling epic battles you loved the first time around, now with remastered graphics optimized for a new generation of hardware.”

The game will reportedly support software-based raytracing, though no other details have been revealed yet regarding the game. The developer working on the game is Saber Interactive, who has worked on Vampyr, Call of Cthulu, and Halo Online. The company will be working with Crytek to bring the remaster to life. The remaster was first announced in April this year by the CEO of Saber on Twitter:

“We will be talking about the remasters more soon. I’m glad people are excited. I always loved Crysis games, and it’s exciting to work with Crytek to bring these games to new audiences.” – Tim Willits, CEO of Saber Interactive.

Tim Willits implied that Saber is working on multiple remasters, which means the Crysis remaster could be a trilogy like the original series by Crytek.

The original game allowed players to fully utilize a nanopowered suit made by the military that allowed the protagonist to gain extraordinary strength, speed, and also allowed cloaking. It was met with extremely positive reviews by critics and fans alike. The first game was introduced in 2007, and Crysis 3 came out in 2013.
