Following the Crimson Desert’s recent launch and player complaints about its control system, Pearl Abyss shared a new post on the game’s official Twitter account. The company thanked players for their support during the game’s first three days and confirmed that the developers are currently working on a patch to address control issues.
“Since launch, we have been listening closely to your feedback and doing our best to make improvements to the game,” wrote the developer. “In particular, we are aware of the discomfort many players have experienced with the controls, and we are currently preparing a patch to address this. We also want to apologize for not providing keyboard and mouse players with a satisfactory gameplay experience.”
Following its release, Crimson Desert peaked at 239,000 concurrent players, according to SteamDB. While a respectable number, this is surprising given that it was a highly anticipated title. Additionally, the game holds a “Mixed” rating on Steam, with 67 percent of players recommending it. Crimson Desert launched on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
