Celebrate PS4’s God of War One Year Anniversary With Free Theme and Avatar

Almost one year ago Sony Santa Monica released a beautifully crafted experience in the soft reboot of God of War. And to commemorate the event, the studio has thanked fans and players with a free dynamic theme and avatar for any PS4 owners – whether they own the game or not.

To go along with the announced freebies is a riveting ‘Thank You’ trailer form the team behind Krato’s latest journey. You can check out the video below:

The video gives a touching overview of the love the new God of war entry (as well as the studio) received over the last 365 days. Upon its release, fans and critics gave God of War overwhelmingly positive reviews of Kratos and Atreus’ adventure into the Nordic realms.

The free dynamic theme is available now to download, while the new free avatar will become available to download on April 17, 2019. God of War is exclusive to the PS4 and won many Game of the Year awards for 2018, including the coveted Video Game Awards show.
