CD Projekt Red Confirms Two Games To be Released By 2021

CD Projekt Red has been working for almost a decade with Cyberpunk 2027, they haven’t announced a release date yet, but today we learn what could be the reason for this extremely long development. A mysterious AAA title is currently being developed by the same developer and it’s expected to release together with Cyberpunk 2027.

A translated blog post on the ResetEra forums claims that the other game will be a “AAA” release. The most likely guess for this unannounced title may be is a new adventure in the Witcher universe. CD Projekt Red have claimed that they will not be entering another numbered sequel into the Witcher franchise: this does not mean that a spin off with similar gameplay to The Witcher 3 is beyond the realms of possibility.

After this announcement from CD Projekt Red we also learned that Cyberpunk is still a couple years left to be released, it would be over 9 years in development if the game releases in 2021. Talk about good marketing strategy.

CD Projekt Red has revealed lot gameplay footage, take a look at it below:

The game it’s an adaptationfrom the 1988 tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020, it is set fifty-seven years later in dystopian Night City, California, an open world with six distinct regions. In a first-person perspective, players assume the role of the customisable mercenary V, who can apply experience points to stat upgrades to reach prominence in the character classes NetRunner, Techie, and Solo.
