Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Reportedly Ignore Any Exclusivity for PS4

PlayStation used to gain exclusive rights for the marketing activities of Call of Duty franchise during recent years and by doing so, PS4 players were getting some exclusive privileges like receiving new post-launch contents 30 days earlier than any other platform. However, it seems the exclusivity deal has expired, according to some new leaks from sources that have revealed true information on the game previously.

The news comes from a source named “Highrise50cal” who claims that PlayStation won’t feature any specific advantages comparing to other platforms for the upcoming title in COD series. While it remains as a mystery whether Xbox will attempt to gain the rights instead of Sony, we’ve heard for several times that this year’s Call of Duty will be much more different than what we used to see during recent years, so it might carry no exclusivity deal with two giants of the industry in order to deliver an original experience of COD franchise.

Furthermore, the leaks from Highrise50cal are also asked from another insider, NoRussian657, who revealed the announcement date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the second source slightly confirmed that there will be no PlayStation exclusivity for the next game in the series.

Previously, we’ve heard from different sources that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be launching with a huge focus on delivering story-driven campaign experience, while featuring a totally different kind of multiplayer section.

It’s also worth noting that Xbox has retweeted Call of Duty’s latest teaser, which has raised some speculation on taking the helm of marketing for the title by Microsoft.
