Call of Duty May Be Removed From Game Pass This Year

According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden in a recent episode of The Xbox Two Podcast, he has heard rumors that Call of Duty may be removed from Game Pass this year. “It’ll be interesting to see if they take Call of Duty out of Game Pass this year, which is a possibility from what I’ve heard,” said Corden, responding to a comment suggesting that Xbox may prioritize “more niche and PC-focused” titles in its strategy going forward.

According to the insider account CharlieIntel on Twitter, the next mainline Call of Duty game is set to launch in October. It is reportedly the next installment in the Modern Warfare reboot series. The latest title in the series, Modern Warfare 3, launched in November 2023, and a sequel was reportedly already well into development following its release. Its worth noting this claim has yet to be confirmed by official sources. Modern Warfare II is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Battle.net.
