Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the next Call of Duty

According to a new rumor from Twitter user Okami, uploaded a picture of Black Ops art with the Cold War below the title, this has ignited rumors about the upcoming Call of Duty game following the Black Ops story-line.

The leaked is confirmed by Eurogamer, who has insiders at Treyarch confirming that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is in fact the real name of the project and will launch this autumn. The outlet also reports that Warzone has teased the new game with a several locked bunkers that featured a Cold War theme.

“There’s more to come there before Activision makes Cold War official, though of course players have already glitched through walls and seen some of what is in store, including a Cold War era spyplane.” reports Eurogamer.

Fans are hyped about the upcoming Call of Duty game, the response in Okami’s tweet indicates that fans are delighted by the idea of returning to the roots of Black Ops, Activsion has not made an official statement about the situation. There is right now a debate of whether if the name suggest a soft reboot or not. Fans thinks that Activision with the subtitle Cold War has decided to return the Black Ops franchise to its beginning.

Activision usually announce their Call of Duty games on May, it’s very possible that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be announced soon during the Summer Game Fest, the game is expected to be a cross-gen title. An announcement could take place in Warzone, as the game is teasing something big to happen today.

Players received a notification mentioning a “tactical alert” happening today, Thursday 21, players are expected to maintain “vigilance on enemy comms for location of enemy surveillance.” Players think that this alert is related to the bunkers who contain nuclear warhead and cold war items.
