Borderlands 3 Will Run at 4K 60 FPS on Xbox Series X

According to 2K Games and Gearbox Software, Borderlands 3 will be ready for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on day one.

Enjoy 4K resolution at 60FPS, four-player local split-screen co-op, and more as soon as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / Series S arrive starting November 10

 

Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will introduce players to Pandora and the planets beyond, Gearbox Software RPG will see players blasting through multiple worlds as one of the four Vault Hunters in the ultimate treasure-seeking adventure.

“Borderlands is a ground-breaking, record-setting, critically acclaimed franchise where millions upon millions of gamers have experienced one-of-a-kind gameplay, mayhem, and fun across multiple generations of gaming technology,” says Randy Pitchford, Executive Producer and Founder of Gearbox Entertainment. “With Borderlands 3 continuing to grow and launching this November on next-generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles, there has never been a better time to jump in and join the fun.”

Owners of Borderlands 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can “easily transition to the next-gen versions within the same console family”. This means that players that own Borderlands 3 on Xbox One, will be able to play the Xbox Series X|S version.

Players who have Borderlands 3 on a physical disc, they will require Xbox Series X or the standard PlayStation 5 to benefit from the free transition. All the add-on content and save files can be ported to next-gen consoles.

Gearbox Software also announced today a “special episode of The Borderlands Show” premiering on October 29 at 9:00 AM PT over on the Borderlands Twitch channel. Is expected that the development team reveals more next-gen upgrades as it was suggested that fans need to “get ready to experience mayhem like never before with Borderlands 3 as a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5“.
