Battleborn is a team-based shooter that draws inspirations from the MOBA genre. It features a total of 25 characters, and an additional five more will be added for free following the game’s launch.
Gearbox’s zany new shooter is less than a week from release. Thankfully, the game’s launch trailer functions as a handy recap of everything this unique shooter has to offer.
Boasting a lengthy single player and up to five player online co-op based story campaign, the game is riddled with the humor that added to the allure of the studio’s previous work in the Borderlands series. Couch co-op is also supported with a two player splitscreen mode. The adversarial multiplayer is where it’s at, though.
The Trailer focuses more on the character aspects of this character based shooter, but does give a pretty good idea of the vibe of the title.
Battleborn will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 from May 3.

“According to 2K, over two million people played the Battleborn open beta. From April 13-18, players completed 1.1 million competitive multiplayer matches and 1.4 million story mode episodes. Additionally, players collected 27 billion Shards.”
