Avion – Hard Time Attack Speed Slaying Guide

Avion – Hard Time Attack Speed Slaying Guide

Avion will be the fifth Colossus that you face in Shadow of the Colossus. For the most part, it’s actually a fun fight and quite easy, but may seem rather intimidating at first. You are required to kill him under 4 minutes, 15 seconds. But fear not, I’m here to help you out, so let’s begin.

At the start of the fight, you want to fall down into the water and then start swimming toward the middle of the three small platforms in front of you, off in the distance. Once you get on the middle platform, pull out your bow and shoot Avion once to aggro him. He will fly toward you and spread his wings. Get ready to align yourself to jump on his right wing (your left). Grab on to the fur as soon as he gets close enough and keep holding on until he’s in his full flight.

This is where you have to be a bit patient, because sometimes he will be banking and doing barrel rolls. Just hold on to the fur and wait until his wings are in a straight position; that’s when you can start running around on him. He has three vital points: one on his tail and the other two on the end of both of his wings. The right wing will be the first one you’re going to destroy first if you want the fastest time possible. Run over to the sigil. Once Avion stabilizes in his flight, grab on to the fur and start stabbing it. Each wing takes a total of two hits to destroy completely, which is quite fast. When you’re done with his first sigil, cross over to the other wing and do the same thing, using the same tactics. Here’s the easy part: the tail. Simply use the same strategy as you did for the wings: wait for him to fly in a straight line, run over to the end of his tail, and stab the last sigil until he dies. That’s it.
