Platinum Games is currently developing Bayonetta 3 for Nintendo Switch, as one of the major exclusive titles of the beloved console, but the studio is not done yet with Switch, as it announced Astral Chain as a brand new hack and slash that is coming to the Japanese console in August this year.
Astral Chain is set in a futuristic cyberpunk world that has attacked by monstrous enemies, coming from other dimensional worlds. You will play as a part of Police special troops, tasked to stand against these aliens and save the city of Ark. Astral Chain features fast-paced gameplay that allows you to perform different combat styles and use unique weapons, including a living tool called “Legion” that spawns in different shapes whenever you need it in battles against the enemies. Along with your abilities, you will have a partner controlled by AI, aiding you to fight and take down every dangerous threat. Here you can check out the latest screenshots:
