Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake Leak Reveals New Content

Following a recent security breach that affected the Indonesian Game Ratings System (IGRS), details about several upcoming games were revealed, including 007 First Light and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, the upcoming remake of Assassin’s Creed IV. The game’s rating, which was shared on Twitter, indicates that the remake “breathes new life” into the original experience while remaining “faithful” to it. The remake will also feature a new cast and additional story content.

The full synopsis via the rating:

This title breathes new life into a fan favourite while remaining carefully faithful to the spirit of the original. It follows the story of charismatic pirate and Assassin Edward Kenway as he adventures through 18th Century Caribbean with parkours in cities, and battles at seas, in search of fortune and glory. Modernized in 2026, the new game includes a cast of new characters and stories.

Ubisoft recently released an Assassin’s Creed brand update, confirming the long-rumored remake of Assassin’s Creed IV, titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The publisher also revealed details on several upcoming titles, including Codename HEXE, Codename INVICTUS, and Assassin’s Creed Jade.

Additionally, according to prominent and reliable insider NateTheHate, the next State of Play broadcast may happen on April 16. However, the leaker claims this date remains unconfirmed from his sources and that it “sounds more third-party focused,” though he again states he isn’t “%100 certain.” It is also worth noting that Insider Gaming believes the official announcement for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake could occur on the same date. If true, the announcement will likely be made at the event.
