Apex Legends’ Forge Killed by Revenant

An animated short released recently, it’s an interview of the new legend to arrive Apex Legends, Forge, he was recently announced and looked forward to being a strong character capable of melee combat. Stunningly, EA has killed the character in the animated short.

The assassin was Revenant, the robot that was constantly teased by Respawn, players knew that sooner or later the character would appear, but this wasn’t expected at all.

Forge’s dramatic death is now trending on YouTube, it’s an amazing reveal of a new character, take a look at it here:

 

Forge ended up being a character used for Revenant’s dramatic entry to the game, the official website of Apex Legends has been updated it now confirms Forge is dead for good.

Back in August 2019, data miners found Revenant deep in the game’s code, the data found a vast amount of information for the character, warning there are spoilers below.

Blackout/Revenant the Nightmare Simulacrum:

Mark for Death: Fires a poison dagger. Press again to reveal the target’s location for 60 seconds.

(If enemy is marked a message will pop up “Something is watching you.”)

Poison Bomb: Launch a Poison Bomb. Damages and slows targets hit.

Infiltrator: You crouch walk faster and climb walls higher.

Shadow Walk: Move silently and faster for 6 seconds. Cooldown resets on kill.

Shadow Step: Send out a Shadow Revenant. Press again to teleport to the shadow. Cooldown resets to kill.

Silence: Throw a device that disables enemy tactical abilities for 10 seconds.

Death Recall: Drop a totem that protects anyone who uses it from death. Instead of getting downed or dying you teleport back to were you dropped your totem in 20 HP.

Shadow Door: Open doors through walls for 5 seconds.

Extra: Enters Shadow Form when using Death Recall. Sounds are already in the game. Blackout/Revenant is a Simulacra, a human mind uploaded to a robot body.

Respawn is celebrating Apex Legend’s first anniversary. Players have the chance to receive a free Anniversary Gift by logging in from February 4 to February 11. Rewards are 10,000 free experience points for the first match played, a Year One Origami Flyer charm, and a special Year One Loyalty badge.

The developers also announced a big change to Apex Legends’ Ranked Mode. Season 4 starts on February 4, it will last three months, it will also split into two episodes. The first episode will start on World’s Edge. After players get their ranking, a reset will take place, players will have to grind all their way back, this time on King’s Canyon.
