Four types of heroes in Anthem

Anthem Is Now Available on Origin and EA Access

Anthem, Bioware’s latest project which is also named as the studio’s second consecutive huge failure in RPG titles, is now available through EA Access and Origin Access subscriptions, probably EA’s final chance to increase the game’s player base and make the current gamers to stay in the game.

Only two years after the disappointing launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2017, Bioware failed once again with its brand new IP, Anthem. Shifting from story-focused RPG titles into GaaS-based experiences didn’t bring anything but failure for Bioware throughout the current generation of consoles.

When it comes to Anthem, the game launched with tons of issues in level design, quests, story-telling and technical part. However, the developer managed to balance the game and tackle the problems thanks to numerous post-launch updates and content packs. Now, Anthem looks way better than what it was earlier this year, though it never reaches the standards that we expect from a developer like Bioware, the studio which brought us Mass Effects trilogy and Dragon Age: Inquistion.

Currently, Bioware is working on a new Dragon Age title along with tweaking Anthem with more contents. The studio recently missed Ben Irving, lead producer behind Anthem. To be honest, Bioware doesn’t seem to be in a satisfying situation right now and if they fail with their upcoming Dragon Age project, it might be the last straw for the whole studio, leading it to a possible shut down, just like what happened to Visceral Games.

EA Access is currently available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC players are also using the same service under the name of Origin Access.
